Vanessa's Favorite Things

Workout:
1.) I love a jump rope! Why? Because you can take it with you anywhere! It's a great full body workout and burns calories quick!

2.) Have low ceilings and need a ropeless jump rope? Check THIS one out.

3.) A set of loop bands or mini bands are great to take with you on the go. They are great for working small muscle we tend to forget about and for a well balanced workout routine.You will feel the burn! They are inexpensive and take up no space.

4.) BALEGA- Running socks are crucial when going on long distance runs. My favorite brand is Balega. The fit is perfect, they are soft and comfy. A big plus is I haven't gotten any blisters when wearing Balega socks.

Fuel:
1.) I am always asked about protein powders. I'm all for a plant-based powder and my favorite one is Vega One Chocolate protein. There are many flavors you can choose from. Why Vega One? I can make it in batches and it doesn't change consistency or flavor. It has cleaner ingredients than a lot of protein powders out there and it contains many nutrients the body needs. I do add a piece of banana, unsweetened vanilla almond milk and frozen berries for a little sweeter taste. Click HERE

2.) Another popular question is about pre-workouts. I only take a pre-workout when I'm feeling sluggish. The one I use is Vega Pre-workout Energizer. I like this one because it is plant-based, it doesn't give me the jitters, yet puts me in a good mood. I like the Acai berry flavor.

3.) HUMA- For long runs it is always a good idea to have an energy gel pack in your pocket just incase you need a push or some sugar to keep you going. There are many brand options, you really need to experiment with them and see which are you favorite flavors. I recommend to experiment during your training not on race day. One brand I like is Huma.

Motivation:
1.) Need some motivation to stay hydrated and drink water? Hydration is key to staying fit, mentally focused, and functioning properly! Here is a water bottle that will keep you motivated and on track!

2.) How about motivation to workout at home without waking up the family? Here is a set of headphones that work perfect for working out at home, the gym or going for a run. They are bluetooth so no worrying about getting tangled up and they fit perfectly around the ear.

3.) BODY GLIDE - Have you experienced chaffing before? If you have, this right here will bring back the motivation to run, lol! If you haven't chaffed, please prevent it from happening with Body Glide. Chaffing happens when the skin rubs against each other or against clothes (usually inner thighs for women and nipples for men). It can look like a rash, burns and can even cause bleeding. Use Body Glide on long runs and you'll be all good!

Lifestyle:

2.) Do tend to sweat buckets while working out? Sweat drips in your eyes and your bathroom towel is just not cutting it. We recently got these and like that they are quick dry and microfiber that fight odor. Check these sweat towels
